Investment Details
- Session fee: $100, due at the time of booking
- Collections: Start at $495 and can include print and/or digital products
Family Session
- Session length: 1.5 to 2 hours
- Includes up to 6 people
- Gallery: Up to 30 of your favorite fully retouched images
Extended Family
- For groups larger than 6: Add $75 for each additional person
- Session length: 1 to 2 hours
FAQs
Q1. Can I get the digital files from my session?
Absolutely! I know digital files are an important product to many of my clients and they are included with your family session. As a full service studio, I also offer a full line of beautiful print products to display in your home. Even if you don’t feel you need the full resolution digital file, you’ll still receive a watermarked web sized digital file for sharing on social media of each image that you choose to print.
Q2. How long is a family session?
My family portrait sessions are usually an hour to an hour and a half. The number of participants affects the amount of time that we shoot. Larger groups or those with little ones or pets can extend our time simply because I want to be sure the poses look cohesive and connected. I try to get pups and little ones looking at the camera as much as possible. But there are those beautiful candid shots that I love so much as well. Your overall gallery will include the full group poses as well as smaller groupings of siblings and parents.
Q3.When will my gallery be ready after my session?
You can expect to see your gallery of proofs within 1-2 weeks of your portrait session! We will finalize your package at this time. Are you happy with just digitals or would you like to add a beautiful album, wall portrait or gift prints to your order?
Q4. What if it rains the day of my session?
Inclement weather is always a possibility with outdoor portrait sessions. I always confirm your session a couple of days before. And I always keep an eye on the forecast and stay in touch with you if we might have weather issues. Cloudy skies and wet pavement are not a problem. It can easily be raining at 3:00pm in the afternoon and the sun be shining by 5:00pm. Always plan on your session unless you hear differently from me. We can easily schedule an alternate time if we need to and I will be in touch with you when we might need to make that decision.
Q5. What about locations?
If you have a perfect location in mind just let me know. There are many beautiful locations across the north side of Indy but I am open to shooting in downtown Indianapolis and surrounding areas. If you’re not sure what you want, I am happy to help you decide on a location that will give you the backgrounds and variety that you have in mind.
