Senior Picture Style Ideas and What to Wear
I love helping my high school senior clients style their senior portrait session! Do you need some help with senior picture style ideas and what to wear for your session? Well I can help! First and foremost, your senior pictures need to express who you are and your personality! Are you conservative in your style? Do you participate in a sport or other school activity? Do you have a signature style item, like a hat that you wear all the time? Do you love to dress up or are you super casual most of the time? These are all questions you can ask yourself to get going in the right direction. Many of the athletes I photograph like to use something from their sport like a football or volleyball in some of their pictures. Have a Letter Jacket? Bring it! You worked hard for the honor to wear that representing your school, your team, and your accomplishments in your sport or activity! Are you a reader? One of my past seniors loved historical things and loved to read! We picked a historical site for her location which is also where she worked and she brought books to use in some of her poses.
Pinterest is another place that I love to browse! You can find so many style ideas there. I have a style board for guys and another for girls. During one of my pinning sessions earlier this week I found a really cool link that was a Facebook Page called Amazing Outfits with tons of ideas for girls. It does cover a range of styles from casual to professional but I think you can all definitely relate. Check out a couple images from that site below.
The city of Fishers is booming with growth and we have tons of fun boutiques now with variety of options. Many of them loan their fashions to FHS Runway for Riley Fashion Show fundraiser which raises money for Riley Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis. I love photographing that event and participating in raising money for such a wonderful cause. Images from that event are right here on my website.
