FISHERS PHOTOGRAPHER LAURA ARICK | CERTIFIED
As Fishers Photographer Laura Arick and owner of Laura Arick Photography, I decided earlier this year that I wanted to advance my photography education by becoming A Certified Professional Photographer through Professional Photographers of America (PPA).
The journey started earlier this year when I sat for the certification exam. Can I just say, as with any certification process, it was a little nerve racking! But, I am happy to announce that I passed! Step one complete! That led to step two, my portfolio submission. The portfolio has to meet specific criteria and then be reviewed by a panel of judges appointed by PPA. I completed that process and proceeded to…wait. The evaluation process takes about three weeks. Well, we all know how long that can be when you are anticipating a pass or fail response! And, can I just say I was jumping for joy when I received my letter that I passed!
What Does My Being A Certifiend Professional Photographer Meant To You?
I am sharing this experience with all of you because first, it doesn’t happen overnight. It’s been a journey. And one that I have truly enjoyed! And second, I want you to know how committed I am to always moving forward and pursuing new skills through education and experience. I have been fortunate enough to have a job that I love and am passionate about! And I want to have the skill set to be the very best at what I do. This means creating for you the very best portraits possible. Technology is changing all the time, especially in the digital world. We never stop learning and I am committed to always bring to my clients the very best I have to offer!
