Newborns – Questions And Answers
You can schedule your newborn session as early as you would like. When you know your due date we can get you on the calendar. Your due date will be used as your session date on the calendar. From there we will adjust your session date based on the date you deliver. These sessions optimally happen within the first 2 weeks after delivery. During this time frame, babies sleep more soundly and allow for those curled up, snuggly poses we all love so much. Your session fee is due at the time of booking. The balance is due the day of your session.
I have many color schemes of wraps, hats, bows, and props. You just need to bring the essentials you will need for you and your baby during your session like, diapers, wipes, burp cloths, etc. Your baby may need to nurse or have a diaper change during our time together so be prepared for that. Sometimes, clients have a special blanket or stuffed animal they want to include. If you have a special item you would like to incorporate into your baby's session, I am happy to do that.
I allow 2-3 hours for a newborn session. Please make sure your baby has a full tummy upon arrival for your session. This will allow them to be content and sleepy for a longer period of time. But I loosely schedule these sessions to allow for feeding, diaper changes, and prop changes. You will get to sit back and relax while I get to work capturing beautiful portraits of your new little one!
I quote a lead time of 2 weeks for the completion of galleries but many times galleries are available before that. If you upgrade your package to the complete digital gallery you'll receive your images by mobile app to view and share with friends and family. I you want to stick with the entry level package, I will schedule a time with you for viewing and ordering.
I am happy to add a pose or two with parents or siblings at your newborn session, however, I only allow 30 minutes of our time for these poses. A full family session can be scheduled for different time or can be added onto a milestone session during the first year for an additional charge.
